Cambodia Team for Education Program Organization (CTEP), which is the affiliate of TEP Culture and Education Association from Taiwan, has been established since 2010 dedicated to youth education, employment promotion, and agriculture cooperation.
Since the beginning, CTEP has been moving ahead and developing itself from providing rice soup to students. as the project progressed, we realized education is the most important part of life-changing, so we started the education program and established learning centers from urban to rural areas.

Education is our key program to enhance foreign languages, computer and internet literacy.
When CTEP set up rural learning centers, we faced a lot of challenges. one of the main challenges is the students’ parents have gone to work in foreign countries, no one help or support their children’s study; the issue has affected the effectiveness of student learning. To align with government policy, that Cambodia will become a rich country in 2050, CTEP is cooperating with the Department of Vocational Orientation, Ministry of Education Youth, and Sports to support computers and more equipment to General and Technical High Schools.

Seeing this problem, CTEP started Employment Program in 2015 to find jobs for rural youth and villagers. We have been doing a lot of activities to reduce the urban-rural gap and make the employment program successful. CTEP team has traveled around Cambodia provinces to hold career guidance and employment forum for the villagers. We also invite companies and factories to participate in the events to recruit job seekers who want to work. At the same time, CTEP shared this important industrial factory information (garment, footwear, mechanic, electronic, and agricultural) to local authorities for spreading the right information to the villagers about the job’s opportunity.

Providing an employment program is not always the best solution for the rural villagers as many jobs opportunity is in Phnom Penh, parents have to move away from family and home to work in the city. Therefore, CTEP started another program – Agriculture Cooperation in 2018. We believe if people can build businesses in their hometown, there will be more job opportunities for villagers. CTEP invited students, farmers, agricultural business people to visit Taiwan to explore and learn about agricultural technology. CTEP also invite Taiwan business people to invest agriculture sector in Cambodia. We hope through creating more jobs for local people can reduce the gathering in the town and city, family members can live closed and take care of each other.
