Expanding the PT Rural learning center to Serve More Students

CTEP has been implementing education programs in Cambodia for 15 years. As our rural centers continue to grow steadily, teaching quality has improved, attracting more students from nearby communities. However, due to limitations in classroom space and teaching hours, the number of students we can accommodate per class remains limited. This is especially true for computer classes, where each student needs access to their own device—making it difficult to increase enrollment without additional equipment.

At the PT Rural center, in response to the growing demand for learning opportunities, we decided to expand the classroom facilities by adding more desks, chairs, and computers. We are deeply grateful for the regular support from the ASUS Foundation - ASUS Recycled Computer Digital Empowerment Program, which enabled us to add more computers. The desks and chairs were made possible through a community-led fundraising effort, with local villagers coming together to make it happen.

Following this expansion, the computer classroom can now accommodate up to 25 students per session, significantly increasing the number of students we can serve each day.

We sincerely thank the generous support of the local community and the long-term partnership of the ASUS Foundation in Taiwan. Thanks to you, more students in rural areas now have the chance to learn and grow. We believe that empowering children through education brings endless possibilities for the future. 🌟
