✨After 9 Years of Waiting, PT Rural Classroom Finally Joins the Internet Age!🌐
The PT Rural Classroom was established in 2015, located in a remote village about 44 kilometers west of Siem Reap city. For 9 years, CTEP has continuously provided quality education services, building strong relationships and trust with the local residents. The classroom is set up within the village temple, and whenever repairs or construction are needed, the temple and villagers always offer their full support to ensure the children have a better learning environment. We offer both English and computer courses here, and by the end of 2024, the classroom will have served approximately 2,000 students. However, there has been one persistent challenge that has limited the progress of teachers and students—no internet! Due to its remote location and low population density, telecom companies have long been unwilling to provide services, preventing students and teachers from accessing online resources and greatly impacting teaching and learning outcomes. After years of effort, the PT Rural Classroom finally succeeded in installing internet this December! This major milestone not only enables children to conveniently learn advanced computer skills such as Photoshop and CorelDraw but also allows them to practice English more effectively. Although the annual internet fee of $300 is a significant expense, we firmly believe it is a worthy investment in the children’s future, unlocking greater opportunities for them. In cities, internet access is a basic resource taken for granted, but in rural Cambodia, stable internet remains a luxury. CTEP will continue to strive to provide more quality educational services for children in rural areas, changing their learning and lives for the better. Thank you to everyone who supports CTEP. Your care and kindness are making a difference in the children’s future!💖
