CTEP Collaborates to Advance Education in Cambodia💻🇰🇭

🌟 The 7th Joint Education School by CTEP in PSN🌟 Due to the limited access to computer education in Cambodia, many public schools lack sufficient computer equipment for conducting computer classes. To provide more students with the opportunity to learn about computers, CTEP has been partnering with Cambodian public schools since 2020, providing computers and technical support to integrate computer courses into their curricula, allowing students to learn directly at school. In 2021, CTEP collaborated with Coding Nations from Taiwan to create a three-year coding tutorial and signed an MoU with the Cambodian Ministry of Education in 2022 to implement coding education in public high schools. CTEP had collaborated with Bavet High School on the Cambodia-Vietnam border and CPV, the largest high school in Phnom Penh. This year, a third high school, PSN, has joined the initiative. 🏫 Krong Preah Sihanouk General and Technical High School (PSN) 🏫 is located in the city center of Sihanoukville Province and has around 1,500 students. Under the diligent management of the principal, the school has become a government-recognized key nurturing school. When CTEP began its computer education collaboration with public schools in 2021, PSN's principal expressed a keen interest in cooperating, but due to financial constraints and the pandemic, it was postponed. With the pandemic easing, PSN added a vocational department, aligning with CTEP's focus on promoting vocational education. Witnessed by the Cambodian Ministry of Education, CTEP officially commenced a coding education collaboration with PSN this month. CTEP has provided 50 laptops and organized both online and offline teacher training camps along with other technical support to ensure high teaching quality. The coding curriculum will be implemented in the new school year as part of a three-year program, expected to benefit over 1,500 students annually. ⛴️ The Importance of Sihanoukville ⛴️ Sihanoukville is a crucial seaport area in Cambodia with numerous industrial zones and economic special zones, creating a high demand for technical talent. PSN's principal places great emphasis on this coding education collaboration, hoping to cultivate more technical talent to aid Cambodia’s development in the future.
