The Whiteboard Has Earned Its Retirement

In CTEP rural classrooms, blackboards and whiteboards are the main teaching tools. But after years of use, their surfaces inevitably wear down, making it difficult for students to read what’s written.

At our TY rural center, one whiteboard has faithfully served teachers and students since 2013. After 12 long years, it was scratched, stained, and worn beyond repair. Still, teachers made do without complaint—until now.

This month, we finally replaced it with a brand-new whiteboard, delivered and installed by a small local truck. The moment it was mounted, the entire classroom seemed to brighten. The children gasped with excitement, and the atmosphere for learning felt renewed.

Though our budget is always tight, our teachers and students are incredibly understanding. They fix what they can on their own. But when it comes to the quality of our children’s education—we don’t compromise.

Thank you to all who have supported education in rural Cambodia. If you’d like to help bring better learning environments to more children, we warmly invite you to join us.
